Freshly picked!
Last weekend, my parents and I decided to take Indio on an impromptu cherry picking excursion. Growing up, we would faithfully drive out towards Niagara every summer to pick baskets upon baskets of cherries. I have so many fond memories of *pit spitting contests*, climbing up to the *highest branch*, and picnics at Niagara Falls after a day of eating almost as many cherries as we picked.
Indio loved every minute of it and was especially excited that mama allowed him to take the pits out of the cherries on his own [my boy is growing up so fast!]. He was amazed at the vastness of Niagara Falls, though he continues to call it "the waterfall."

we used to pick cherries in my grandpa's backyard every summer. those days were some of my best memories growing up. thanks for reminding me of a most beautiful time!
happy summer!
My goodness those are some beautiful pictures. Cherry picking has always sounded SO FUN to me, though I've never done it. Indy is the cutest. Got your letter right before I left for Cabo--return letter coming as soon as I get back! xoxo
that first photo is just gorgeous - looks like he is really enjoying himself!
Mmmm, cherry picking!
Whenever I think of the Falls, I think of two things: 1) Riding the Maid of the Mist and being completely terrified that our boat was going to fill with water and sink! and 2) That tv commercial... "Niagara Falls, Ontario... la la la... the place to go!" (I can totally hear the tune in my head and now I can't get it out!)
oh my gosh, what i wouldnt do for an orchard of cherry trees right about now!! and i can never get over how freaking gorgeous your son is.
Absolutely ADORABLE photo of Indy (props to your mother for getting those cherry stains out of his tee - I would have sworn it was ruined forever by the looks of that photo :) I LOVE the expression he has in the tree - so full of wonder and happiness!!!! Someday I hope to see Niagara Falls! It's so funny because the city I live in is called Wichita Falls and apparently a long time ago there were waterfalls here. Now we just have a teeny man made one that is not impressive at all!! haha
