Foto Friday: week 17

[day 113: Indio has figured out where the snacks are and helps himself whenever we're not looking! By the way, Giant Whole Grain Goldfish are really salty...we're not buying those again!]

[day 114: Two weeks into my new workout regime. My muscles are making my arm glow. That's my old elementary school in the background.]

[day 115: Blue buds from my mom's garden.]

[day 116: Celebrating Faiza's birthday at the longest Blue Jays game ever.]

[day 117: The scene outside our house as our neighbour was whisked to the hospital after a fainting spell. Thankfully, she's ok.]

[day 118: Bubble mowers do a great job when you don't have much grass to cut.]

[day 119: I know I'm reaching here with this final photo of the week, but it is a true reflection of our Thursday night ritual--Michael Scott and the rest of The Office gang.]

The Good Stuff: Cafe Culture

E is on a cooking spree these days and I'm more than happy to be the recipient of his culinary delights. Tonight, we ate delicious, juicy burgers with sharp white cheddar hidden inside alongside grilled asparagus and sweet potato. Of course, I had to contribute somehow besides loading the dishwasher, so I bought a bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal [and Glee afterwards!].

Cafe Culture Pinotage is infused with coffee beans, which you can taste. It sounds weird, but it's quite divine. It's smooth, a bit sweet, and went perfectly with our scrumptious meal! This South African wine is only available twice a year so you can bet I'll be stocking up at my local LCBO! For $13.95, it's too good to pass up!

^bottle neck affirmations.

Another week down and seven more pictures up. For those of you doing Project 365, how're you keeping up? Are you losing steam? Interest? Are you learning any new photography tricks? What keeps you motivated?

[day 106: The end to a birthday perfect meal at Filippo's.]

[day 107: Another birthday dinner, this time Cuban food at Mambo, complete with Mojitos.]

[day 108: Making faces at the MS Walk.]

[day 109: I don't know if it's because I'm currently reading The Gargoyle, but when I saw this little guy I just had to have him. Now if only I could get my garden in order to display him.]

[day 110: Delicious new Portuguese chicken recipe courtesy of our neighbour, Tina and my personal chef, Emil.]

[day 111: My little style guru trying on his new straw fedora.]

[day 112: My other current read...Yes, I'm juggling two books, along with a baby, a family and 2.5 days of work. Sometimes I have to ask myself, "How do I do it?" ;)]

Best Team Name: Keep On S'meylin!

^even Cassius got in on the action

Sunday was the perfect day to go for a walk, and that we did! As part of team Keep On S'myelin we spent the morning in Pickering at the Multiple Sclerosis walk. For his very first charity walk, Indy slept in his stroller, while we completed the 5km course around the neighbourhood.

It was an honour to walk with Paula in support of MS research. There was something so wonderful to see so many participants in Keep On S'myelin t-shirts. We even won an award for *Best Team Name*! I'm looking forward to this becoming a yearly tradition for our family.

[day 99: Trying to figure out how to get to that sweet smelling fruit inside. (I played around in iPhoto fading colour and blurring the edges just for a bit of a change.)]

[day 100: Since we *discovered* a Sbux so close to home I've been *needing* it more often! (Can you believe 100 days of 2010 are already gone?)]

The Good Stuff: Gazela Vinho Verde

E and I are ending a busy day with a great new wine I *found* at the LCBO: Gazela Vinho Verde, a light, refreshing Portugese wine. It was a perfect way to unwind on our back porch before getting ready for the event of the week: Glee! I can't wait to see Mr. Schue and Sue!

What I loved in March...

With all the traveling, birthdays and chaos last month, March has come and gone so quickly that I almost forgot my *What I loved...* list! A little late, but here it is:

1. NYC. Amidst all the craziness, our week-long stay in March was full of reunions with loved ones, the most precious possession we had to leave behind.
2. My one and only, E. He's part of the list every month, but this month is special because it was his birthday and he relaunched his shiny new website, Fit4LifeNYC.

[Sharing a birthday moment with Indy.]
3. Dark chocolate covered raisins. A sweet treat with healthy benefits of antioxidants and iron. Mmm...
4. Contigo Autoseal water bottle...I bought a 3-pack on a recent visit to Costco with P and was hooked the instant I filled it for the first time! No leaks, no mess! Just pure hydration goodness!

    5. Cadbury Mini Eggs. 'Nuff said.
    ^via

    6. Australian Wool Duvet. Another Costco find. I can't begin to tell you how cozy this is! And even on the warmer days we've been having, it's been super-comfortable.

Keep on S'myelin keeps on walking

On Sunday, April 18, 2010, my family and I will be walking with one of my oldest and dearest friends in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

Paula has lived with MS for the last 10 years, but if you were to meet her, you'd never guess it. From the moment she gets up in the morning to the minute her head hits her pillow, she is on the go. She is a fantastic mom to 2 young children, a great wife and a wonderful friend. She doesn't let MS slow her down, when she can help it. She even designed the fantastic logo above for the team's t-shirt!

We believe that we will help to end multiple sclerosis. If you want to support this cause click here or the logo above.
